Mississauga, ON – B. Braun Canada Ltd. today announced the launch of its Service Programs for the Space® Infusion System in Canada, offering healthcare facilities a structured, reliable approach to maintaining infusion pumps while reducing the operational and financial burden of in‑house servicing.
Hospitals and care facilities across Canada face increasing pressure on biomedical engineering teams, with limited resources, growing device fleets, and the need to maintain compliance with safety and performance standards. Managing infusion pump servicing internally can require significant investments in staff time, training, parts inventory, and scheduling, while delays in maintenance may impact equipment availability and workflow efficiency.
The B. Braun Space® Service Programs are designed to address these challenges by shifting the burden for repairs, preventive maintenance, and technical safety checks to B. Braun’s factory-trained service organization, allowing clinical and biomedical teams to focus on patient care and other critical priorities. Available only to Canadian customers, B. Braun offers flexible programs for facilities with varying technical capacities, allowing either shipment of Space® equipment to their Quebec Service Center or scheduled on‑site visits by technicians. These programs help healthcare organizations control costs by covering repair labor and parts— including repairs required due to accidental damage, cleaning, disinfecting, and handling—while reducing training needs, spare parts management, and unexpected repair expenses for facilities with limited biomedical staff. The service ensures Space® infusion devices are maintained according to manufacturer standards, minimizing downtime and supporting consistent infusion therapy.
“Our customers rely on us as a trusted healthcare partner to help keep critical infusion technology performing at the highest standard,” says Tim Kavanagh MBA, RN, PMP, Director, Professional Services at B. Braun Canada. “We never lose sight of the fact that at the end of every pump is a patient, which is why we are committed to delivering the quality, service, and support healthcare professionals expect from B. Braun.”
The Space® Service Programs apply to B. Braun’s Infusomat® Space® Large Volume Pump, Perfusor® Space® Syringe Pump, Perfusor® PCA Syringe Pump, and SpaceStation devices, subject to program terms and equipment eligibility. Programs are available for the useful life of the devices and are offered with a recommended three‑year minimum enrollment. Pricing and availability are available upon request.
With the launch of these service programs, B. Braun Canada continues to support healthcare providers by delivering solutions that balance clinical performance, operational efficiency, and long‑term sustainability—helping teams focus on what matters most: patient care.
